Editorial Guidelines

Our Commitment to Accurate, Evidence-Based Content

Darko’s website, blog, social media, and product content are designed to provide you with accurate, reliable, and evidence-based information about health, wellness, and our premium supplements. Our editorial guidelines ensure that all content we publish is unbiased, transparent, and backed by scientific research—so you can make informed decisions about your health.

Our editorial team consists of registered dietitians, nutritionists, and health writers with extensive experience in the supplement and wellness industry. All content is reviewed and fact-checked before publication, to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Core Editorial Principles

All Darko content adheres to the following core principles:

  • Evidence-Based: All health and nutrition claims are backed by peer-reviewed scientific research, FDA guidelines, and established nutritional science. We do not publish unsubstantiated claims, anecdotal evidence, or pseudoscience.
  • Accuracy & Fact-Checking: All content is fact-checked by our editorial team and/or external health experts. We verify all statistics, studies, and claims before publication, and we correct any errors promptly (with a clear correction note).
  • Transparency: We disclose all conflicts of interest (if any) and clearly distinguish between factual information and subjective opinions. We also disclose when content is sponsored or affiliated (no undisclosed paid content).
  • Unbiased: Our content is not influenced by advertising, brand partnerships, or sales goals. We provide honest, objective information about health and nutrition—even if it does not directly promote our products.
  • Readability & Clarity: We write content in clear, simple language (avoiding jargon), to ensure that it is accessible to all users. We use headings, bullet points, and short paragraphs to improve readability.
  • Compliance: All content complies with FDA guidelines for supplement and health claims, as well as FTC advertising regulations. We do not make any disease treatment/cure claims—all our products are for general wellness use only.

Content Creation Process

Our content creation process is rigorous and comprehensive, with multiple review stages to ensure quality and accuracy:

  1. Topic Research: Our editorial team researches topics using peer-reviewed journals, FDA guidelines, and reputable health organizations (e.g., NIH, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
  2. Content Writing: Content is written by our in-house health writers or freelance writers with extensive experience in nutrition/wellness (all writers are vetted and trained on our editorial guidelines).
  3. Fact-Checking: All content is fact-checked by our registered dietitians/nutritionists—we verify all studies, statistics, and health claims.
  4. Compliance Review: All content is reviewed for FDA/FTC compliance—we ensure that no disease treatment/cure claims are made, and all supplement claims are backed by research.
  5. Final Approval: Content is approved by our Editorial Director before publication—only accurate, compliant, and evidence-based content is published.
  6. Post-Publication Review: We regularly review published content to ensure it is up-to-date (we update content as new research becomes available) and correct any errors promptly.

Product Content Guidelines

All product content (product descriptions, ingredient lists, benefits) adheres to additional strict guidelines:

  • All ingredient claims are backed by third-party testing and scientific research.
  • All product benefits are general wellness claims (no disease treatment/cure claims), in compliance with FDA guidelines.
  • Ingredient lists are 100% transparent—no proprietary blends, no hidden ingredients.
  • All product content includes the mandatory FDA disclaimer: *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
  • All third-party testing claims are verified with lab test reports (published on our website).

Blog & Educational Content Guidelines

Our blog and educational content (wellness tips, nutrition articles, supplement guides) are designed to educate our readers—not to sell products. All blog content adheres to the following guidelines:

  • Blog topics are relevant to our readers’ health and wellness goals (e.g., immune health, energy, fitness recovery).
  • All educational content is free of hard-selling—we do not push products in blog posts (we may link to relevant products in a non-intrusive way).
  • We cite all sources (peer-reviewed journals, reputable health organizations) for all health/nutrition claims.
  • We avoid fear-mongering or sensationalism—we provide balanced, objective information.

Correcting Errors & Updating Content

We strive for perfection, but errors can happen. If you find an error in our content (factual, grammatical, or compliance), please contact our editorial team at darko@darko.company with the subject line: "Content Error - [Page URL/Title]".

We will investigate the error and correct it within 48 hours of notification. All corrected content will include a clear correction note (date of correction and description of the error).

We also update our content regularly as new scientific research becomes available—we ensure that all our content is current and evidence-based.
